The short answer
- SocialPilot can fit an agency whose managers control the handoff to client review.
- SocialPilot Premium lists client approval, 25 social accounts and six users.
- SocialPilot managers can approve directly or choose to send a post to the client.
- Compare Planable for required sign-off or Sendible for its listed unlimited users.
Map the route to the queue
Agree who must sign off before giving anyone publishing rights. The distinction matters when the client expects to approve every post.
SocialPilot’s workflow guide says Content Scheduler posts require review, while Manager and Admin posts go directly to the queue. Managers can approve directly or send content for client approval.
For example, create a draft as a Content Scheduler and ask a manager to review it. Then repeat with a Manager account and record whether the client received a request.
If your agreement requires client approval on every post, align the account permissions and operating process with that obligation. Test each privileged role before relying on the workflow.
Set up the right client access
Choose client permissions based on who reviews and who must publish. An invitation alone does not make someone the approver.
SocialPilot’s client access guide says ordinary account access does not grant Approver status. It requires at least one approver for an account requiring client approval.
The same guide says a client granted Publish Post permission occupies a team-member slot. Count those clients with staff when you plan the purchase.
SocialPilot’s invitation guide says a Client cannot later become a team member, and a team member cannot become a Client. Decide the intended role before inviting each person and test the experience with a client account.
Decide what happens when a client is silent
Set a deadline policy before scheduling client work. An unanswered request needs an owner and an agreed escalation path.
SocialPilot’s invitation guide says Auto-Approve bypasses pending client approval one hour before scheduled publication if approval is absent. This is an approval cutoff; it does not say the post publishes an hour early.
Use a private dummy post to test the setting enabled and disabled. Record the scheduled time and whether the client responds, then agree who can change the setting.
Price the actual client roster
Start with the plan containing client approval, then count the accounts and people your team needs. The cheapest scheduling tier may not contain the review step in your agreement.
SocialPilot pricing lists Premium at $85 per month equivalent on annual billing or $100 per month on monthly billing. Premium lists 25 social accounts and six users.
A social account is a connected destination, while a user is a person with access. A publishing client can affect the team-member count, so model that role separately from a reviewer.
For a quote, list each connected account and every person who must publish. Ask SocialPilot about additions and current terms for that roster.
How to compare the alternatives
Consider Planable when a required approval workflow and configurable post lock fit your handoff. Its owners and admins can change the workflow, so test their access too.
Consider Sendible when a large reviewer group makes its listed unlimited users attractive. Price the workspaces and profiles needed for the approval tier.
The Planable alternatives comparison compares the products’ approval boundaries. Use the social publishing and approvals buying guide to run the same role test across them.
