The short answer
- Sendible can fit a team that wants approval tasks and has a large group of reviewers.
- Sendible pricing lists unlimited users on all plans and introduces approvals on Plus.
- Sendible client setup exempts an admin switching into a client dashboard from that client’s approval requirement.
- Compare Planable for a required workflow or SocialPilot for a manager-led client handoff.
Assign the approval requirement
Decide which publishers need review on every post. An individual request is useful for a specific draft, but it does not set a standing rule for the author.
Sendible’s approval guide describes a user setting that sends all of that user’s posts for approval before publication. Its tasks notify reviewers in the dashboard and by email, and reviewers can approve or reject with comments.
For example, configure a writer to require approval and create a dummy post without sending a separate individual request. Check whether it reaches the designated reviewer before it can publish.
Agree whether an agency reviewer or the client makes the final decision. Record that responsibility in the client process and test the configured publisher account.
Test the client and administrator views
An administrator’s access deserves a separate test from the client’s own view. A review requirement for one acting user does not automatically apply to everyone.
Sendible’s client setup guide says an admin switching into a client dashboard is exempt from that client’s approval requirement. The administrator may also see posts the client cannot see; Sendible suggests the Team member filter to approximate the client view.
Try the same unapproved draft as the client and as an administrator. Record who can publish and use a client login to verify what the reviewer actually sees.
Have Sendible demonstrate the client approval path and account requirements. Its documentation here does not specify no-login approval.
Handle overdue approval deliberately
Reschedule a late post before approving if it should not go out immediately. A completed task and an approval are separate actions.
Sendible’s task guide says an overdue scheduled post sends immediately when approved unless rescheduled first. Marking the task done does not itself approve the post.
The same guide says approvers can edit and forward posts for another approval. Comments on completed tasks do not reopen them, so agree how a reviewer should request further work.
Test an overdue dummy post in a private setup and record the result. Repeat after rescheduling, and decide who owns the calendar when a client misses the deadline.
Price workspaces and profiles
Use the roster of client workspaces and connected destinations to obtain a comparable quote. Unlimited users alone does not tell you the full cost.
Sendible pricing lists unlimited users on all plans and introduces assignment and approvals on Plus. Adding a workspace adds six social profiles; Premium adds custom branded reports.
A profile is a connected social destination, and the workspace groups client work. Map your client roster to the plan and workspace additions before committing.
Ask Sendible for the current price of the approval tier and the workspaces your roster requires. Include the accounts your reviewers need in that discussion.
How to compare the alternatives
Consider Planable when a required approval workflow and configurable lock on approved content fit your process. Test how its administrators manage those settings.
Consider SocialPilot when its Premium allowance and manager-led client handoff fit your roster. Its managers can approve directly, so match that authority to the client agreement.
The Planable alternatives comparison compares the approval boundaries. The social publishing and approvals buying guide offers a shared test for each publishing role.
