Budget for sessions and history

Mouseflow’s plan table lists Free at 500 monthly sessions for one site and one month of history. Essential lists 5,000 for one site and three months; Advanced lists 25,000 for two sites and six months; Premium lists 100,000 for five sites and 12 months. Confirm the current plan and billing terms.

Mouseflow says daily sampling is disabled by default and it tries to capture sessions until the monthly recording allowance runs out. Ask how exclusions, sampling settings, campaign spikes and an exhausted allowance affect your actual account.

Mouseflow describes session replay without video files. Validate complex pages and third-party elements in a controlled trial; do not infer a user’s motivation solely from a replay.

Configure and verify exclusions

Mouseflow says keystrokes are masked and its Visual Privacy Tool can exclude pages and elements. The privacy policy assigns configuration responsibilities to customers. Keystroke masking does not establish that dynamic text, URLs, identifiers or custom widgets are safe to collect.

Set a consent and exclusion strategy for the site and its audience. Test grant, denial and withdrawal with synthetic sensitive values, including checkout, account and form flows. Inspect payloads and replays; restrict viewer access and document deletion and retention. These controls do not automatically establish compliance.

Compare analysis with the source of truth

Mouseflow’s plan table lists form analytics on Premium. Confirm the feature, the definition of a form event and compatibility with your actual form before using field drop-off as an acceptance criterion. Reconcile counts with form submissions and downstream CRM records.

Ask how your chosen plan handles API access, exports, access roles and data after cancellation. A downloaded replay or aggregate report may not be a portable copy of all session data.
