The short answer
- Start with Freshsales if browser calling and sequence steps in one CRM matter most. Start with Pipedrive if the pipeline and your chosen calling provider fit the team better.
- Pipedrive Growth and Freshsales Pro each showed US$39 per seller per month on annual billing, checked November 4, 2026. Confirm the current Pipedrive checkout. Calling and provider charges are additional.
- The sequence tools differ in enrollment, controls and limits. Test a reply and reassignment before committing.
Follow a lead from call to deal
Map the owner of each step before comparing feature lists: create a lead, call, send an email, handle a reply and assign the deal. The critical question is whether the next seller sees the conversation and knows what remains to do.
Pipedrive’s calling guide describes mobile calling and calling integrations. Its CloudTalk integration describes calling and logging through a separate provider. Confirm the provider’s subscription, number coverage and sync behavior.
Freshsales pricing lists phone with Growth. Freshsales phone credits cover call and number charges. Confirm availability, rates and any extra telephony features for your countries.
Compare the sequence, not just the label
Pipedrive Sequences is available on Growth and above for leads and deals. It supports activity steps and manual or automatic emails; each user must authorize automatic sending. Its documentation describes manual completion if a contact replies through another channel. Confirm how your connected inbox handles a reply.
Pipedrive Growth allows five sequences per company and one synced email account per user. Freshsales Pro allows ten sequences per user. A team sharing several playbooks should check the company-wide limit before choosing.
Freshsales sequences start on Pro, with 10 sequences per user; Enterprise has 25. Its documented outbound steps include email, call, SMS and tasks. The guide says a started outbound sequence cannot be edited or paused; clone it to change the design.
Freshsales documents selectable exit conditions including an email reply, unsubscribe or bounce. Test those settings and an ownership change with your own connected inbox. Confirm which seller owns pending work and what a manager can see.
Price two five-seller setups
For five sellers using email and tasks, Pipedrive Growth showed US$195 per month, paid US$2,340 upfront annually. Freshsales Pro lists US$195 per month on annual billing. Both examples exclude tax and extras. Confirm the current Pipedrive checkout.
Freshsales Growth starts at US$9 per user per month annually, but does not include sales sequences. Pipedrive Lite is its entry plan; Sequences starts on Growth. Confirm the local checkout and workflow before comparing prices.
For a hypothetical calling workload, assume one number and 200 outbound minutes per seller per month. Freshsales requires number and call credits. Pipedrive needs a suitable calling integration and its provider’s terms. Destination, number type, recording and provider fees can change the total, so obtain quotes for the same traffic.
Check reporting and migration
A manager needs to reconcile calls, replies and open tasks by owner, not merely count completed activities. Pipedrive Insights and Freshsales Analytics describe reporting tools; test the actual report and permissions on the chosen plans.
Freshsales migration guidance describes a route from Pipedrive. Pipedrive export guidance describes export methods and limits. Reconcile contacts, deals, custom fields and activities; a migration route does not guarantee sequence state or call recordings transfer.
Run the same outbound trial
Use synthetic records and a test mailbox you control. Record expected results before each step.
Use the software trial guide to set acceptance criteria and a decision owner.
Common questions
Which plan includes sales sequences?
Pipedrive includes Sequences on Growth and above. Freshsales lists sequences on Pro and Enterprise.
Does the CRM subscription cover calling?
Freshsales uses phone credits for number and call charges. Pipedrive browser calling through a provider depends on that provider’s terms. Quote the intended traffic.
