## The short answer

- This guide uses vendor documentation checked November 5, 2026. We have not hosted or attended an event in the product.
- [Livestorm](https://livestorm.co/pricing) currently describes annual attendee credits counted per person per session across live, replay and on-demand attendance. Confirm the live room capacity separately.
- [Livestorm](https://support.livestorm.co/article/38-event-replay) provides replay access controls. Configure consent, access and captions before inviting an audience.

## Forecast attendees across sessions

[Livestorm](https://livestorm.co/pricing) says one attendee credit is used each time a person attends a session live, on replay or on demand. The same person attending live and replaying that session counts once; attending a different session consumes another credit. Registrants who do not attend do not count under that description.

As checked November 5, 2026, [Livestorm’s attendee-based guide](https://support.livestorm.co/article/attendee-based-pricing) lists Pro at $1,200 per year for 400 attendee credits and $2,900 per year for 1,000 credits. These are USD examples from the published tier table; confirm currency, tax, add-ons and the applicable account quote.

[Livestorm’s pricing FAQ](https://livestorm.co/pricing) says new attendees cannot join after the quota is exhausted until upgrade. Its [billing guide](https://support.livestorm.co/article/attendee-based-pricing) separately says Enterprise plans allow attendance beyond quota by default, potentially with overage charges. Confirm exhaustion and overage terms for your account before planning the event.

[Livestorm’s older help page](https://support.livestorm.co/article/25-plans-pricing-mac) describes monthly active contacts and includes mixed cancellation language. Its [attendee-based guide](https://support.livestorm.co/article/attendee-based-pricing) and current pricing describe a different model; confirm whether your existing account remains on legacy terms.

## Design registration and replay

[Livestorm’s event guide](https://support.livestorm.co/article/305-create-your-first-event) describes registration fields, consent choices and separate access and speaking permissions. Distinguish registration, live attendance and replay viewing in reports. Disclose prerecorded or automated content accurately and provide a path for questions.

[Livestorm](https://support.livestorm.co/article/38-event-replay) says replay access defaults to registrants and attendees, can be disabled, or can be opened for on-demand registration. Its guide says on-demand replay cannot be enabled for recurring events. Confirm the access and session configuration before promising a replay.

## Verify captions and retention

[Livestorm](https://support.livestorm.co/article/254-transcript) describes automated replay transcription and captions. Its guide limits this service to events shorter than two hours; confirm availability for the event you plan to record. Its [live translation guide](https://support.livestorm.co/article/enable-live-translations) says translated captions are live-only and do not produce translated replay captions. Confirm entitlement, language and accuracy; review captions and provide an accessible alternative where needed.

[Livestorm](https://support.livestorm.co/article/25-plans-pricing-mac) advises downloading replays and exports before cancellation and describes different deletion timing for pricing models. Confirm the account-specific retention period, permissions, sharing and deletion schedule. Review recording notices, chat and attendee data with your privacy team.

[Livestorm’s privacy policy](https://livestorm.co/privacy-policy) lists collection of participant email addresses for marketing with consent, while its FAQ says participant emails are limited to event registration and data is not used commercially. These statements are difficult to reconcile. Review the applicable organizer notice and ask Livestorm to clarify the use and consent basis for your events.

[Livestorm’s accessibility statement](https://livestorm.co/accessibility), updated June 4, 2025, reports that 33.33% of the evaluated RGAA v4 criteria were met and lists keyboard, contrast and form barriers. This is a vendor-published assessment, not a blanket accessibility certification; check the current attendee experience.

## Reconcile registration and attendance

[Livestorm’s Salesforce guide](https://support.livestorm.co/article/connect-livestorm-salesforce-new) describes creating campaign members from registration and updating attendance after the session. It requires a custom Campaign Member field for replay status, and says historical registrations are not retroactively synchronized. Confirm integration eligibility and permissions for the account.

Test a new session with authorized test registrants and check consent fields, existing-contact matching, attendance and replay status in Salesforce. A registration does not imply attendance or permission for unrelated marketing.

## How to compare the alternatives

Compare [Demio](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/demio/) and [BigMarker](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/bigmarker/) using the same event, peak attendance and replay audience. The [Livestorm vs Demio comparison](https://quillwell.com/guides/compare/livestorm-vs-demio/) contrasts capacity and follow-up. See the [CRM software guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/crm-software/) for the destination system.

## Common questions

### Does a no-show use an attendee credit?

[Livestorm](https://livestorm.co/pricing) says registrations without live, replay or on-demand attendance do not use a credit under its current attendee-based pricing.

### Can a replay be restricted?

[Livestorm](https://support.livestorm.co/article/38-event-replay) describes access for registrants and attendees, on-demand registration or no replay access. Verify the event type.
