## The short answer

- Consider HockeyStack if its tracking and configured Snowflake export fit the journey and archive you need.
- [HockeyStack’s main pricing page](https://www.hockeystack.com/pricing) routes buyers to a consultation; obtain a quote for your workload.
- [HockeyStack’s tracking guide](https://docs.hockeystack.com/technical-details/tracking/how-does-tracking-work) says declining cookies disables website tracking.
- Compare Dreamdata if its documented attribution models and BigQuery add-on fit your reporting workflow.

## Trace the journey through consent

Start with the events your decision depends on, then trace them into a report. A missing event cannot receive attribution credit.

[HockeyStack’s tracking guide](https://docs.hockeystack.com/technical-details/tracking/how-does-tracking-work) says its script collects interactions, form emails and device data. Its default identifiers do not use cookies, but declining cookies disables website tracking.

For example, run a synthetic visit with consent accepted and another with cookies declined. Record which events reach the journey and whether they are matched to the intended record.

Keep absent events separate from events that arrive but cannot be matched. A chart can allocate credit only to the activity represented in its data; it cannot by itself prove incremental lift.

Record the settings used for the test and give the team a clear owner for resolving gaps. Repeat the exercise when the consent configuration or collection route changes.

## Price the workload in the order

Use a workload forecast to request a quote, then read the order alongside the public terms. Include the connections and export access your team needs.

[HockeyStack’s main pricing page](https://www.hockeystack.com/pricing) directs buyers to a consultation and gives no numeric price for its main offer. Figures on its [academy page](https://academy.hockeystack.com/pricing) have unresolved freshness and are historical leads, not current prices.

[HockeyStack’s master services agreement](https://www.hockeystack.com/msa-terms) describes excess MTU true-ups using a trailing three-month average. Its posted rate is $3,000 annually per 10,000 excess MTUs, prorated; the actual order governs contracted capacity and term.

The same agreement describes automatic renewal absent 30-day written notice. Put the notice date and the contracted capacity in your renewal calendar, and request the definition and forecast for your own MTU usage.

Separate the proposed subscription from any connection or add-on charges. A public overage rate alone cannot show the total cost of the order.

## Test the Salesforce handoff

Map the objects your team needs before relying on a CRM push. A report and the records it sends to Salesforce serve different jobs.

[HockeyStack’s Salesforce Sync guide](https://docs.hockeystack.com/integrations/crms/salesforce/salesforce-sync-hockeystack-to-salesforce-push) describes an outbound add-on requiring read and write integration permissions. Its initial sync may take up to 24 hours.

[HockeyStack’s Salesforce Sync guide](https://docs.hockeystack.com/integrations/crms/salesforce/salesforce-sync-hockeystack-to-salesforce-push) lists company, person and stage objects. New activation of the touchpoint object was disabled from December 25, 2025.

Choose a test record for each object your workflow needs. Compare the source and destination fields after the initial sync, and document who can resolve a mismatch. Obtain the available objects and add-on terms for your deployment before promising the handoff.

## Keep an independent history

Test what you can retain while the connection is still active. A configured export is useful only if its fields and access meet your own archive requirements.

[HockeyStack’s Snowflake guide](https://docs.hockeystack.com/integrations/analytics-and-data-warehouse/snowflake) describes a configured outbound export of raw actions or stage data. It starts with a historical backfill and typically continues daily.

Inspect both the backfill and a later update against a known journey. Open an independent copy and map its dates and identifiers to your destination. Export type determines scope, so this route alone does not prove a complete backup.

[Dreamdata’s migration guide](https://docs.dreamdata.io/article/8wspwy9h7o-migration-of-historical-web-tracking-data) describes importing HockeyStack history through exported CSV in storage. Reconcile fields and dates at the destination before closing the old account; the documented route does not confirm completeness.

We found no HockeyStack documentation of a post-termination export or retention window. Get those terms and any warehouse charges in writing before ending access.

## How to compare the alternatives

Consider [Dreamdata](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/dreamdata/) when its documented attribution models and BigQuery add-on fit your reporting and warehouse needs. Consider [Ruler Analytics](https://www.ruleranalytics.com/pricing) when indicative pricing based on monthly visits suits your forecast.

Use the [Dreamdata vs HockeyStack comparison](https://quillwell.com/guides/compare/dreamdata-vs-hockeystack/) to run the same journey and exit worksheet. The [marketing attribution buying guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/marketing-attribution-software/) helps choose the measurement question before comparing tools.

## Common questions

### How much does HockeyStack cost?

[HockeyStack’s main pricing page](https://www.hockeystack.com/pricing) directs buyers to a consultation. Request an order covering your capacity and required connections.

### Does HockeyStack track visitors who decline cookies?

Test your site’s consent settings: [HockeyStack](https://docs.hockeystack.com/technical-details/tracking/how-does-tracking-work) says website tracking stops when visitors decline cookies.

### Can I export HockeyStack data to Snowflake?

[HockeyStack’s Snowflake guide](https://docs.hockeystack.com/integrations/analytics-and-data-warehouse/snowflake) describes a configured export of raw actions or stage data, starting with a historical backfill. Test its scope and retention for your agreement.

### Is HockeyStack the best attribution software for a B2B team?

Consider HockeyStack if its collection and configured Snowflake export fit your journey and archive. Compare the same test journey and contract terms with other candidates.
