## The short answer

- Account visibility and permission to change ads are separate checks.
- If contractors must see only named clients, [Adalysis team permissions](https://docs.adalysis.com/onboarding/getting-started/core-account-settings/team-members) document access scoped to selected accounts.
- [Opteo permissions](https://opteo.com/docs/en/articles/13858628-team-members-and-user-permissions) allow teammates to see connected account names, including unlinked accounts, and relink them.
- Check who appears in the change history and how to recover from a mistake before granting edit access.

## Choose the work that needs control

Choose where a human must approve a change before comparing automation. Start with one account task and identify its owner.

[Optmyzr’s rule workflow](https://help.optmyzr.com/en/articles/3076039-custom-strategies-in-rule-engine-iv-preview-suggestions) previews matching entities and intended actions. Users can inspect the rules, then schedule or apply changes; they can also export suggestions or edit logic.

[Adalysis audit documentation](https://docs.adalysis.com/tools/audit/audit-overview) describes daily audits and selected automated fixes. Thresholds can be configured, and audit reports can be downloaded as PDFs.

Ask each vendor to demonstrate the approval boundary you need. A recommendation awaiting review and an automated change need different permissions.

Check whether your ad platform supports the specific action. [Opteo’s protected-segment guide](https://opteo.com/docs/en/articles/15922578-algorithm-settings) gives Google the widest set; Microsoft has three groups; Meta and LinkedIn have one each. TikTok has none.

Those settings prevent specified exclusion recommendations; they do not undo existing exclusions. Review the existing exclusions before relying on the protection.

## Compare documented controls

Choose the access boundary before inviting a contractor. The matrix separates who can see accounts from what the history records.

Documented comparisons to check against your needs

| Product | Account access | Change record | Open question |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Opteo | Teammates see connected names; users can apply changes | Opteo actions and actor; relevant before/after; CSV | Direct platform changes and rollback |
| Optmyzr | Enterprise mirrors secondary users’ platform access | Native-tool changes and actors; CSV | Script changes excluded |
| Adalysis | Per-login none, view or view/edit; selected accounts | Local history plus Google Ads history view | Actor identity and rollback |

[Opteo’s permission guide](https://opteo.com/docs/en/articles/13858628-team-members-and-user-permissions) says users can apply changes, while admins also control billing and the team. Invited teammates can see connected account names. They can relink unlinked accounts.

[Optmyzr Enterprise Access Levels](https://help.optmyzr.com/en/articles/3074850-access-levels-in-optmyzr-enterprise-only) mirror each secondary user’s ad-platform access. The primary user sees all linked accounts; enabling this model requires support and reconnection.

[Adalysis team permissions](https://docs.adalysis.com/onboarding/getting-started/core-account-settings/team-members) offer none, view only or view/edit access. The scope can cover all accounts, a manager subtree or chosen accounts. Admins cannot grant more access than they have.

Suppose a contractor should see two of ten client accounts. Adalysis documents selected-account scopes; Optmyzr’s Enterprise model follows the contractor’s ad-platform access. Test the login before sharing client work.

For the two-account contractor, check visibility as well as edit rights. An account name alone can disclose a client relationship. Repeat the exercise after removing access, and ask the account owner to review the observed results. Document any difference between the intended boundary and the test login’s view.

## Trace a change across systems

A usable history must let you identify a change and reconcile it with the ad platform. Ask for the actor and before-and-after values for a representative action.

[Opteo action history](https://opteo.com/docs/en/articles/15653536-changelog) records actions made through Opteo. It records the actor and relevant before-and-after details. It supports filtered CSV export; direct ad-platform changes do not appear automatically.

[Optmyzr’s Optimization History](https://help.optmyzr.com/en/articles/3088140-optimization-history) records native-tool changes and actors, with CSV export. Script changes are excluded, while external actions can be logged manually.

[Adalysis change history](https://docs.adalysis.com/onboarding/getting-started/account-organization/change-history) distinguishes local actions from a Google Ads history view. The documentation does not prove complete export coverage or rollback.

Adalysis sources differ on individual actor attribution in Google history. Its [team documentation](https://docs.adalysis.com/onboarding/getting-started/core-account-settings/team-members) and [historical update](https://docs.adalysis.com/product/product-updates/q3-2025) warrant a current configuration check before promising named attribution.

Keep an external change log where a record is missing. Assign an owner to reconcile platform activity and document manual recovery.

## Price the actual account pool

Price the actual account pool at the same billing cadence. The plan must also include the access model your team needs.

[Opteo pricing](https://opteo.com/pricing) lists Basic at $129/month for 10 accounts and $25k monthly connected spend. Professional is $249 for 25 accounts and $100k; Agency is $499 for 75 accounts and $250k.

[Adalysis pricing](https://adalysis.com/pricing/) bases plans on monthly ad spend and offers monthly and six-month options as well as annual billing. It lists unlimited Google Ads accounts and Microsoft Ads accounts, as well as unlimited users.

[Optmyzr pricing](https://www.optmyzr.com/pricing/) uses managed monthly ad spend and billing cadence. Its [fair-use policy](https://help.optmyzr.com/en/articles/10139189-fair-usage-policy) sets no fixed numeric threshold for unlimited accounts.

Ask for a written quote using the same spend and account inventory, including how it changes with another client or billing period. Include any plan needed for client isolation.

[Adalysis’s FAQ](https://docs.adalysis.com/product/faq) says account audit data refreshes daily around 4 am account time. External Google Ads budget edits may wait until the next refresh.

A quote for a small account pool can miss the cost of a permission requirement. Include the role and account scope in the request. Include the effect of another client or billing period. Keep the assumptions with the quote for a fair comparison.

## Trial the permission boundary

Test the permission boundary before involving a client. Use a representative account and a test login to compare the access you expect with what each role can see.

Check one action made through the management product and one made directly in the ad platform. Export the history and compare the records for gaps.

Ask the vendor to show the recovery path for a mistaken edit and whether the exported record lets clients review changes without workspace access. Keep approval and reconciliation with the account owner even when a tool automates the action.

The [software trial checklist](https://quillwell.com/guides/software-trial/) helps you use the same task and decision criteria across candidates.

Repeat the check after a role or account assignment changes. Record who approved the access and who removes it when the engagement ends. Inspect whether the exported record contains enough detail for your client to review a change without sharing the management workspace.

A useful acceptance record has an expected result and an observed result for each role. Save a copy of the exported history with the account identifier and the reviewer’s decision. If the product cannot show an action or its actor, decide who will maintain the missing record before the account goes live.

## Common questions

### Which PPC management software is best for agencies?

If contractors must see only selected clients, start with documented per-account scopes. [Adalysis](https://docs.adalysis.com/onboarding/getting-started/core-account-settings/team-members) offers selected-account access; [Optmyzr](https://help.optmyzr.com/en/articles/3074850-access-levels-in-optmyzr-enterprise-only) mirrors platform permissions on Enterprise.

### Can Opteo users see unlinked client accounts?

[Opteo permissions](https://opteo.com/docs/en/articles/13858628-team-members-and-user-permissions) say invited teammates can see connected manager and ad account names, including unlinked accounts. They can also relink them.

### Does Optmyzr track changes?

[Optmyzr’s Optimization History](https://help.optmyzr.com/en/articles/3088140-optimization-history) records actors for native-tool changes and supports CSV export. Script changes are excluded.

### Can Adalysis restrict a contractor to selected accounts?

[Adalysis permissions](https://docs.adalysis.com/onboarding/getting-started/core-account-settings/team-members) describe per-login access scoped to chosen accounts, with view-only or view/edit levels. Verify entitlement before inviting the contractor.

### Can I undo every PPC change?

The cited histories do not prove universal rollback. Ask each vendor to demonstrate recovery for your actual change and account.
