## The short answer

- For ten clients with four distinct accounts each and one dashboard each, Swydo is $204 a month and DashThis Professional is $164 a month on monthly billing.
- A second dashboard for each client leaves Swydo at $204 but requires DashThis Business at $324 a month under the same assumptions.
- The numbers change when clients share an account: Swydo counts each client connection, while DashThis counts each unique account across dashboards.

## Count reuse before pricing

[Swydo’s billing FAQ](https://help.swydo.com/en/articles/6668342-faq-billing-data-sources) says a source connected to one client can be used in multiple reports without another charge. Connecting it twice, including to another client, counts again. Swydo requires an individual client folder for each client.

[DashThis pricing](https://dashthis.com/pricing/) defines a source as a unique connected data account used in dashboards. The same account counts once across dashboards and widgets. Confirm the treatment of a genuinely shared account in your own setup before budgeting. [DashThis’s usage guide](https://help.dashthis.com/how-is-the-source-usage-calculated) says an account counts once added to at least one dashboard, even without a widget; removing it from every dashboard removes it from usage.

The examples below assume no account is shared between clients, no duplicate Swydo connections and no source churn during the billing cycle. Each second dashboard uses the same four accounts already connected to that client.

## Price the same three portfolios

These are hypothetical USD list prices on monthly billing, checked November 4, 2026. DashThis must satisfy both dashboard and source limits. Swydo includes unlimited dashboards and reports.

Monthly portfolio estimate

| Portfolio | Swydo | DashThis |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 3 clients × 1 dashboard × 3 accounts; 9 unique accounts | $69: 9 sources within 10 included | $54 Individual: 3 dashboards and 15 sources |
| 10 clients × 1 dashboard × 4 accounts; 40 unique accounts | $204: $69 + 30 × $4.50 | $164 Professional: 10 dashboards and 40 sources |
| 10 clients × 2 dashboards × same 40 accounts | $204: $69 + 30 × $4.50 | $324 Business: 25 dashboards and 100 sources |

[The FAQ on Swydo’s pricing page](https://www.swydo.com/pricing/) lists $69 monthly for the first 10 sources and $4.50 each for sources 11–100. DashThis lists Individual at $54, Professional at $164 and Business at $324 monthly. Annual billing has different prices; these estimates exclude taxes, add-ons and negotiated terms.

A source shared by two clients can add two Swydo client connections but one DashThis unique account. Swydo also bills sources connected during the cycle even if later removed or failing. Check usage before and after a migration. [Swydo explains the cycle](https://help.swydo.com/en/articles/6668342-faq-billing-data-sources).

## Deliver and brand the report

[DashThis support](https://help.dashthis.com/product-support-faqs) documents recurring email with a dashboard URL and an optional PDF attachment. It also documents PDF export and white label domain and sender options on paid plans. Swydo lists client portals, sharing and white labeling in its [pricing overview](https://www.swydo.com/pricing/).

A PDF preserves what a reader saw at a point in time. It is not a portable, editable dataset or a reusable report definition. Ask each vendor which underlying rows, calculated metrics, templates and settings can be exported and restored elsewhere.

## Recover a connection without losing the report

[Swydo’s source management guide](https://help.swydo.com/en/articles/10093173-how-to-manage-your-data-sources) describes reauthorizing a connection and replacing a source across existing reports. Copying sources into another client can create billable duplicates.

[DashThis support](https://help.dashthis.com/product-support-faqs) warns that removing a source deletes its connected widgets and suggests saving a PDF or template first. Ask whether reauthorization can restore access without removing the source. Test the actual failure path before moving client reporting.

## Run the same reporting cycle

Use the [reporting software buying guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/reporting-software/) to map delivery needs and the [Swydo product notes](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/swydo/) for further context. Use the [switching guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/switching-reporting-tools/) to plan the handoff and archive.

## Common questions

### Does a second dashboard double the Swydo bill?

A source connected once to a client can be used in multiple reports without another source charge. A second connection, including to another client, counts again. [Swydo billing FAQ](https://help.swydo.com/en/articles/6668342-faq-billing-data-sources).

### Does DashThis count a source for each dashboard?

DashThis says each unique connected data account counts once regardless of the number of dashboards or widgets using it. Dashboard limits still apply. [DashThis pricing](https://dashthis.com/pricing/).
