## The short answer

- [Sendible pricing](https://www.sendible.com/pricing?country=US) lists unlimited users on all plans and introduces assignment and approvals on Plus.
- [SocialPilot pricing](https://www.socialpilot.co/plans) lists client approval on Premium, alongside account and user allowances.
- [Planable’s workflow guide](https://help.planable.io/hc/en-us/articles/21715462785180-Approvals-and-Approval-Workflows) lists required approval on Pro and Enterprise; owners and admins can change the workflow.
- Test privileged publishing and overdue posts with each product before moving client work.

## Sendible

Consider Sendible when the number of reviewers makes a per-user quote difficult to predict. Its approval controls still need to be assigned to the people who publish.

[Sendible pricing](https://www.sendible.com/pricing?country=US) lists unlimited users on all plans and introduces assignment and approvals on Plus. Adding a workspace adds six social profiles. Ask Sendible for a quote using your client workspaces and connected profiles, including the approval tier and reviewer account requirements.

[Sendible’s approval guide](https://support.sendible.com/hc/en-us/articles/208052076-Send-messages-for-approval) describes individual approval requests and a user setting that sends all of that user’s posts for approval before publication. Set up the relevant publisher explicitly and test a post that was never sent as an individual request.

Approvers can approve or reject tasks with comments, according to that guide. Agree whether the client or an agency reviewer makes the final decision. A review by the wrong person can complete a task without satisfying the client agreement.

[Sendible’s client setup guide](https://support.sendible.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014576251-Set-up-clients) says an admin switching into a client dashboard is exempt from that client’s approval requirement. It also warns that the administrator can see posts the client cannot. Test using the client’s own login as well as the administrator’s view.

For a late review, the timing matters. [Sendible’s task guide](https://support.sendible.com/hc/en-us/articles/208052616-Work-with-approval-tasks-and-assigned-messages) says a post approved after its scheduled time sends immediately unless rescheduled first. Marking a task done does not itself approve the post.

For example, schedule a dummy post for a time that passes while approval is pending. Reschedule it before approving, then repeat with another dummy post left overdue. Observe each outcome privately and record the acting user.

Have Sendible demonstrate the client review path and whether the specific reviewer needs an account. Sendible does not document no-login approval. Price the actual configuration rather than inferring a complete cost from unlimited users.

## SocialPilot

Consider SocialPilot when its Premium allowance fits your accounts and its manager-led approval process fits the client agreement. Map the people who can publish before inviting clients.

[SocialPilot pricing](https://www.socialpilot.co/plans) lists client approval on Premium with twenty-five social accounts and six users. The displayed US price is $85 per month equivalent on annual billing or $100 per month on monthly billing, checked October 29, 2026. Check current add-ons and the quote for your portfolio.

[SocialPilot’s workflow guide](https://help.socialpilot.co/hc/en-us/articles/49895024701073-How-Do-I-Manage-Team-Client-Approval-Workflows-in-SocialPilot) says Content Scheduler posts require review, while Manager and Admin posts go directly to the queue. Managers can approve directly or choose to send a post for client approval. That choice matters if the client expects every post to receive sign-off.

[SocialPilot’s client access guide](https://help.socialpilot.co/hc/en-us/articles/49895050968209-How-Do-I-Manage-My-Client-s-Access) says ordinary account access does not confer Approver status. At least one approver must be selected for an account requiring client approval. A client granted Publish Post permission occupies a team-member slot.

Count clients who only review separately from clients who must publish. Ask for the complete cost of the latter group and test the client’s actual permissions. An invitation by itself does not prove the role the client needs.

[SocialPilot’s invitation guide](https://help.socialpilot.co/hc/en-us/articles/49895024825873-How-do-I-Invite-a-Client) says Auto-Approve bypasses pending client approval one hour before scheduled publication when approval is absent. Decide whether silence may trigger that outcome, then test with the setting enabled and disabled.

Try a Content Scheduler post and a Manager post against the same client rule. Record who can place each in the queue and whether the client was asked to approve. Agree on an exception procedure if managers retain direct approval rights.

Decide how your team will handle a client who is unavailable at the deadline. A planned escalation and a documented role assignment can be as important to the decision as the advertised account allowance.

## When to stay with Planable

Stay with Planable when required sign-off and a configurable lock address the handoff you need, and your team can manage the settings responsibly. A move is useful only if it improves a specific part of that process.

[Planable’s workflow guide](https://help.planable.io/hc/en-us/articles/21715462785180-Approvals-and-Approval-Workflows) lists required approval on Pro and Enterprise and multi-level approval on Enterprise. Owners and admins can change the workflow, and switching to Required offers an automatic approval choice for posts already scheduled.

[Planable’s workspace settings](https://help.planable.io/hc/en-us/articles/21796309997596-Change-workspace-settings) treat the lock after approval and auto-scheduling as separate controls. With the lock enabled, the [workflow guide](https://help.planable.io/hc/en-us/articles/21715462785180-Approvals-and-Approval-Workflows) says the approved content must be unapproved or the lock disabled before editing resumes.

The client path still needs a decision. [Planable’s client approval guide](https://help.planable.io/hc/en-us/articles/22581435847324-How-to-get-Client-Approval-for-content-in-Planable) says public links allow viewing and comments but cannot approve. Its [workflow blog](https://planable.io/blog/social-media-workflow/) claims no-account approval through a link. Ask which behavior applies and test it before promising a frictionless sign-off.

If the current setup already fits, reproduce the approval gate with a writer and client account. Then try a settings change as an administrator. Inspect an approved post after an attempted edit and record what actually happens.

Use the [Planable product guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/planable/) for a fuller review of its settings. The [social publishing and approvals buying guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/social-media-approval-software/) supplies a common worksheet for testing alternatives.

## Common questions

### Which Planable alternative fits a large reviewer group?

If reviewer count drives the quote, investigate Sendible: [Sendible pricing](https://www.sendible.com/pricing?country=US) lists unlimited users. Price the workspaces and profiles needed for the approval workflow.

### Can SocialPilot managers skip client approval?

[SocialPilot’s workflow guide](https://help.socialpilot.co/hc/en-us/articles/49895024701073-How-Do-I-Manage-Team-Client-Approval-Workflows-in-SocialPilot) says managers can approve directly or send content to clients. Test those rights against your client agreement.

### What happens when Sendible approval is late?

[Sendible’s task guide](https://support.sendible.com/hc/en-us/articles/208052616-Work-with-approval-tasks-and-assigned-messages) says an overdue scheduled post sends immediately on approval unless rescheduled first.

### When should a team stay with Planable?

Stay if required sign-off and the configurable lock fit your process, provided the client access path and privileged settings pass your trial.
