## The short answer

- Choose [AgencyAnalytics](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/agencyanalytics/) when Client records fit your portfolio and its reporting workflow meets your delivery needs.
- Consider [DashThis](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/dashthis/) when its dashboard and unique-source allowances fit the reports your clients need.
- Price the same portfolio in both units, then save report evidence and test the handoff before a client leaves.

## Count the portfolio in each unit

Count websites and dashboards separately from connected accounts. The same customer can use different quantities in each product.

[AgencyAnalytics pricing](https://agencyanalytics.com/pricing) lists Core at $20 per Client per month with annual billing. Core lists unlimited sources, dashboards and reports. An [AgencyAnalytics Client record](https://help.agencyanalytics.com/en/articles/10344666-create-and-manage-clients) represents a tracked website or business profile; one customer can need several records.

[DashThis pricing](https://dashthis.com/pricing) lists Professional at $164 monthly or $139 per month paid yearly. It includes 10 dashboards and 40 sources. Both allowances must fit. [DashThis source counting](https://help.dashthis.com/how-is-the-source-usage-calculated) counts a source added to a dashboard even without a widget, but counts it once when reused across dashboards.

For example, ten dashboards using forty unique sources fit DashThis Professional’s allowances. An eleventh dashboard exceeds that allowance. In AgencyAnalytics, count the Client records needed for the same customers; the number of customers alone may be insufficient.

Ask each vendor for a quote using the same portfolio and required features. Include a second scenario with a new client or source, so a threshold does not surprise you.

## Deliver the report clients actually use

Start with the report your client opens and the way your team reviews it. A recurring delivery is useful only if the recipient can see the right information.

[AgencyAnalytics Core](https://agencyanalytics.com/pricing) includes dashboards and reports. Its [data access guidance](https://help.agencyanalytics.com/en/articles/4752960-understanding-data-access-and-troubleshooting-data-issues) explains that web reports can populate when source data becomes available later. The [AgencyAnalytics guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/agencyanalytics/) covers scheduled web reports and recipient downloads.

DashThis organizes the work around dashboards and their connected sources. Use the [DashThis guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/software/dashthis/) to assess the dashboard and source allowances, then open a client view with the intended permissions.

Recreate one report in both products with the same period and definitions. Send an internal test, inspect it on a phone and simulate a disconnected account. Record who owns the credentials and who will repair a failed connection.

## Keep the record before a client leaves

Save what the client saw and what your team needs to reconstruct the work. A report snapshot and an editable workspace serve different purposes.

[AgencyAnalytics export guidance](https://help.agencyanalytics.com/en/articles/8602801-manage-exports-and-transfer-clients) describes an admin bulk export of ranking metrics and integration settings as CSV files in a ZIP. A Client transfer between AgencyAnalytics accounts omits custom dashboards, reports and users. Recreate those items and test the destination rather than assuming a cross-product import.

[AgencyAnalytics Client guidance](https://help.agencyanalytics.com/en/articles/10344666-create-and-manage-clients) says deleted Client data can be restored intact within 30 days; later restoration starts fetching afresh. Deleting a Client does not automatically reduce subscription capacity. Adjust the subscription separately and keep the billing confirmation.

[DashThis source replacement guidance](https://help.dashthis.com/how-to-change-data-sources-in-my-dashboard) says widgets cannot directly switch sources. Deleting the old source before rebuilding can permanently lose associated data. A clone with a replacement source omits comment boxes, static widgets and the custom color theme.

[DashThis Search Console guidance](https://help.dashthis.com/google-search-console-notes/limitations) says new widgets have a 16-month historical window and store history from widget creation for later access beyond it. Preserve the source and widget while you save the periods you need. Test what can be retained independently before disconnecting.

Neither export route described here confirms a complete portable workspace. The [switching guide](https://quillwell.com/guides/switching-reporting-tools/) helps plan saved reports and source access before billing changes.

## Run the same reporting and exit worksheet

Use one representative client in both products. Record expected results before connecting accounts, and give the client-facing reviewer a realistic report to open.
